They call me Mayhem,

Seeker of the abandoned, broken, decaying and destructive.

User of a D3400 & Natural Light.

Lover of Urban Photography, B&W, and Color Splash

I picked up a camera early on in life. A simple point and shoot digital camera. I took it everywhere with me. My love for writing is what fueled my photographs. I wanted to capture what it was that inspired me in more than just words.

Presently, I use photography as a sort of therapy. As a retired USMC Veteran who is Battling Lupus and a heart condition, photography keeps me present in the moment and allows me to express myself by capturing exactly what speaks to my soul instead of searching for a way to describe it. Chronic Illness has it moments where it drags me to the darkest of places, and photography reminds me that there is beauty in the chaos- which is my photography mission, to capture the mayhem and show its vulnerability, strength and beauty.
